Brief introduction about the organization
The Industrial Energy Assessment Cell was established in 2018 as an integral part of IITM and later expanded to Kotak IIT Madras Save Energy Mission (KISEM) in 2022 with CSR support from Kotak Mahindra Bank.
The primary objective is to facilitate energy efficiency in Indian MSMEs by offering various energy assessment services, leading to the decarbonization of the manufacturing sector through energy conservation. This initiative is modeled after the successful DOE program in the USA, which has been operating multiple energy assessment centers for several years.

Project Associate II

Eligibility:
- B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical / Mechanical / Chemical Engineering with 2+ years of experience in energy studies. BEE Certified Energy Auditor / Manager preferred.
- Academic Requirements: Minimum 60% or equivalent in graduation and above and 55% or equivalent grade in 10th & 12th standard.
- Age Limit: 35 years (as of 01.03.2025)
